Justin Timberlake has been accused of cashing in early on his music after he announced that he signed a $140 million deal.

In its June 13 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Timberlake’s announcement that he offloaded all his music back catalog surprised his fans. After all, other musicians who also did the same thing were Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, and Bruce Springsteen.

A source claimed that it’s obvious how much older these three musicians are compared to Timberlake. So, the latter’s friends are wondering why he cashed in on the venture quite early.

“Since Justin’s not working much these days and focusing on family life, he keeps an eagle eye on the state of his finances. He’s taking extreme care to make they aren’t hurting for cash, which is why we’re seeing him selling his back catalog and making some property moves,” the source said.

However, the source also claimed that industry insiders did not like Timberlake’s move. And some of his fans weren’t impressed either.

“He’s got people talking and some of his critics are whispering that he might have money troubles. But given the success of their careers, that’s unlikely,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

There’s no indication that Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel are strapped for cash. After all, the couple still has multiple projects here and there.

It is possible that Timberlake wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to offload his music catalog for the money. But he deserves it because it is his own music that he’s offloading.

The tabloid’s contradicting and inconsistent statements also prove that they are just making up stories about Timberlake and Biel.

After all, they said that the couple seems to be struggling with money. But they also said that this seems unlikely.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only rumor surrounding the couple. Throughout the past couple of years, there have been claims that they are on the brink of a divorce.
