Angelina Jolie Recalls Touching Moment When Maddox Called Brad Pitt Dad, Refers To Ex As A ‘Wonderful Father’

Angelina Jolie gave an honest interview in 2007 where she recalled the touching moment when son Maddox called Brad Pitt dad for the first time. She had also revealed why Pitt is such a good father.
It was in 2016 when the Maleficent actress and the Troy star’s separation had stunned Hollywood, as well as, their fans. No one could even think in their wildest dreams that the then Hollywood power couple would go their separate ways.
Although there is no proper clarity concerning why the duo separated, many say that it was the actor’s alleged squabble with his eldest son, which triggered the rift between the former couple they never could recover from. Recently, Maddox was followed by paparazzi in Seoul where he studies biochemistry. The 18-year-old did not look happy to discuss his famous dad.
When Pitt made an entry into Jolie’s life after his much-publicized split from Jennifer Aniston, the actor had bonded well with Maddox. Meanwhile, in an interview given to an outlet in 2007, Ange was frank about the rapport between their eldest son and the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood star.
Jolie had not thought of Maddox requiring a father initially and of course not a man who had come into her life then. It was only when she got to know Pitt better did she realize what a “wonderful father” her beau was.
The former couple did not force Maddox for anything and let him take his time to make a decision whenever he felt like it. Angelina Jolie recounted how he called Brad Pit dad just one fine day. They both felt “it was amazing.”
The couple was busy playing with cars in a hotel room and when they heard Maddox calling him dad. They simply looked at one another but did not say anything.
Their eldest son continued to address Pitt dad from then on. Jolie gushed it was possibly the most crucial time when the “Fight Club’ actor made up his mind that they should all be a family, Pinkvilla reports.
Although Pitt does not reportedly have a cordial relationship with their eldest son now, they had shared a deep bond in the past. The Salt actress also spoke about their daughter Zaahra’s adoption by Pitt.
The actress mentioned that Pitt showed his commitment to them similar to how a guy commits to a kid. She added that such things occur emotionally when one makes an internal choice and then the person starts behaving accordingly, Geo News reports.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie share six kids who they have been co-parenting after they got divorced in 2016.
