Ray Liotta, best known for his impressive roles in “Goodfellas” and “Something Wild,” died at the age of 67.

Page Six said that the beloved actor’s rep confirmed the matter to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday. It also noted that “no one suspects foul play” in the celebrity's shocking passing, per TMZ.

As reported, the “Cop Land” star passed away in his sleep in the Dominican Republic. He was in location filming a new material titled “Dangerous Waters.”

The same publication stated that the veteran actor was with his fiancée, Jacy Nittolo while working on the project.

Following the saddening and shocking news, several celebrities shared their reactions and tributes across social media platforms in honor of Ray Liotta. A separate report from Page Six covered the matter, detailing what the personalities had to say about the actor.

It said that Seth Rogen was in “disbelief to hear” about the “Field of Dreams” star’s passing. On Twitter, he referred to him as “a true legend of immense skill and grace.”

On the same platform, Kristin Chenoweth and Jamie Lee Curtis shared their sadness with their audience. Meanwhile, Viola Davis and Devon Sawa made their admiration for Liotta known.

Liotta’s co-star in “Goodfellas,” Lorraine Bracco, posted on Twitter, as well, saying she was “utterly shattered” when she heard about the “terrible news.” She included a throwback photo with him in the same post.

Deadline said Ray Liotta was on a “big resurgence” in Hollywood. The celebrity's recent returns on screens included “The Many Saints of Newark,” “Marriage Story,” and “No Sudden Move.”

The widely celebrated star had just also concluded working with Elizabeth Banks for “Cocaine Bear,” which will drop in 2023. He was due to play a role in Coralie Fargeat’s “The Substance,” opposite Margaret Qualley and Demi Moore.

Ray Liotta got his big break in Hollywood when he played Ray Sinclair in the 1986 film, “Something Wild.” He obtained a Golden Globe nomination for it and went on to star in “Dominick and Eugene” in 1988, according to BBC.

In 1990, he played the role of mobster Henry Hill in the critically acclaimed and commercially successful title, “Goodfellas.”

Liotta worked on several other films in the ‘90s, including “Unlawful Entry,” “No Escape,” “Unforgettable,” Cop Land,” and “Phoenix.” Some of his works for television include "The Making of the Mob," "Shades of Blue," "Texas Rising," "Hanna," and "Smith."

He continued to star in numerous films and series, releasing multiple materials each year from 1978 to 2022.
