Prince William Allegedly Wants Camilla Parker Bowles To Be Queen When Prince Charles Ascends The Throne
Prince William has allegedly shown his support for his stepmom, Camilla Parker Bowles.
In its May 30 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Prince William finally accepted the fact that Camilla will one day be given a more important role once Prince Charles ascends the throne.
Initially, the second in line to the throne was allegedly upset when he found out that Queen Elizabeth wanted Camilla to be styled as queen consort. But over time, he realized that the Duchess of Cornwall deserves to even be styled as queen.
“Wills accepted that Camilla is who his father chose and who he’s always been in love with. But he always held her at arm’s length, and she never tried to push him on that. William’s at least been warmer than Prince Harry, who glowered at her in silence unless he was pushed into a conversation,” the source said.
The source also claimed that Prince Charles and Prince William had a heart-to-heart conversation about the matter. After all, the heir to the throne knows that he needs his son’s support no matter what.
“Charles knows Camilla faces an uphill battle to win the public’s affection, and he needs Wills to lead from the front. Charles asked William to be seen fully on board with her – and he wasn’t sure if his son would agree to it. But much to Charles’ delight, William gave his backing. The queen spoke privately with William about making Camilla queen instead of princess consort, and he understood his logic,” the source said.
The source added that the Duke of Cambridge also realized that it’s finally time to let go of the past, which includes Prince Charles and Camilla’s affair. After all, the couple has been married since 2005, and their union has never been this strong.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. The tabloid is incorrect in saying that the queen consulted Prince William and asked if he was OK with Camilla being styled as queen and not as a princess consort.
After all, weeks ago, it was already announced that the queen wants Camilla to be styled as queen consort and not as queen.
So, the inconsistencies with the tabloid prove that they are just making up stories about Prince William and Prince Charles’s long-time wife.
