Amber Heard Once Revealed She Wants Career Like Angelina Jolie's
Amber Heard entered the world of entertainment in the early 2000s. More than a decade later, she shared in an interview that she admires Angelina Jolie the most.
Cheat Sheet recently unearthed the engagement the actress had with Vanity Fair in 2013. As reported, she wants to “copy” the “Maleficent” star’s career path in the entertainment industry.
During the engagement, the interviewer asked Heard whether she had any actors she admires. She immediately responded and named Jolie, adding that she is an “inspiration” to her.
The then-27-year-old celebrity explained that she could “not think of anyone who has better accomplished the kind of trajectory [she] admires better than Angelina Jolie.”
She continued that the Marvel actress “parlayed life in the public eye and used it to her advantage as opposed to just living life as a recluse…”
The 2013 interview, which remains available on Vanity Fair’s official YouTube account, has since obtained more than 668,500 views. It has also received over 3,200 likes and 1,500 comments.
Several netizens appear to have slammed Amber Heard because of her statements in the engagement. With regard to her mentioning the name of Angelina Jolie, some even noted that it was an “insult.”
One commenter stated that it is insulting to the “Eternals” star that her name is “in the same sentence” as Heard’s. “Not only is [Jolie] breathtakingly beautiful but the grace she carries herself with, and the heart she possesses is incomparable.”
More than 900 individuals liked the said comment, with some taking the time to share their thoughts on the subject.
Amber Heard dropped out of school to pursue a modeling career in New York at the age of 17, according to the Independent UK. She eventually relocated to Los Angeles to start a career in acting.

Heard made her film debut, as well, in 2004 when she played a small supporting role in “Friday Night Lights.” The celebrity’s first leading role did not arrive until two year later with “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.”
The publication continued that the actress “gained mainstream recognition” when she joined the cast of “Pineapple Express” in 2008. She received a role in “Zombieland” the following year before starring opposite Johnny Depp in “The Rum Diary” in 2011.
