Prince William and Kate Middleton aren’t allegedly thrilled to know that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would attend Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.

In its May 23 issue, New Idea claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge put their foot down and tried to put an end to the Sussexes’ attempts to return to the royal fold.

A source claimed that Prince William knows that Prince Harry and Markle are attending Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee because they plan to include clips in their documentary. And he made sure to ban Netflix from setting foot at Buckingham Palace.

“His big concern is that they are obviously filming a documentary for Netflix and a big return to the family – whether they’re welcome or not – would prove the sort of salacious viewing Netflix is clearly looking for. Wills worries they’ll attempt to make fools of them all and ruin the queen’s day,” the source said.

Middleton, on the other hand, wants Markle to remember that even if she’s no longer considered a senior working royal, she still needs to follow the protocols.

“Given she’s not allowed to be a part-time royal, Meghan might feel that exempts her from all the protocols. And given she’s not on great terms with her sister-in-law, no one can see Meghan being deferential to Kate, especially when it comes to curtseying to her and those more senior than herself,” the source said.

According to the source, Markle might only feel the need to curtsy to Queen Elizabeth and not Middleton.

Meanwhile, the source also claimed that the queen’s decision to not allow Prince Andrew to appear on the balcony should serve as a wake-up call for the disgraced royal.

After all, the Duke of York has now been banished from the royal fold. And it’s important for the dad of two to remember that he may be allowed to attend certain gatherings, but he will never be able to work as a senior royal again.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

Prince William and Middleton have been mum about Prince Harry and Markle’s attendance at the Platinum Jubilee. So, it remains unclear how they really feel about it.

There’s also no reason for Markle to curtsy to Middleton because she’s not the queen.
