Kate Middleton and Prince Harry used to be in cahoots, but things changed ever since the latter dated Meghan Markle.

In its May 9 issue, New Idea claimed that Middleton and Prince Harry never stopped communicating with each other even after the latter relocated to the United States.

However, the in-laws are no longer as close as they once were.

A source claimed that it has reached a point wherein the Duchess of Cambridge told her family and friends that she no longer recognizes Prince Harry.

“Kate has kept a discreet line of communication open. She still sends birthday messages and gifts for Harry and the kids, and she’ll text him occasionally to check-in. It’s all rather formal now and there’s no sign of their easy banter. Kate’s told friends she feels like she barely recognizes him anymore, which is something she’ll no doubt say to his face if he comes home next month for the queen’s Platinum Jubilee,” the source said.

Even though Middleton and Prince Harry’s relationship is no longer the same, the former will still try to welcome the latter when he visits the United Kingdom.

“Despite the water under the bridge, he does love her and Kate knows deep down that William wants him around. Kate feels her job will be to help both men work around their reignited pride and ego. Kate would be the first to admit that her husband hasn’t been the same since he fell out with Harry and deep down he misses him,” the source said.

As of late, it’s still unclear whether or not Prince Harry would return to the United Kingdom to attend the queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

During his interview with Hoda Kotb, he admitted that his issues with British security haven’t been resolved.

But if Prince Harry decides to attend the event by himself or together with his family, it’s highly likely for him to be welcomed by the British clan and not just Middleton.

Royal experts have been saying that Prince Harry is trying to do his part in making amends with Prince William. Even though the relationship between the brothers remains strained, the Duke of Sussex reportedly hopes things could be resolved before the queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

However, there’s no proof that Middleton is exerting so much effort into trying to bridge the gap between the brothers.
