Prince Harry, Prince Charles Have ‘Long Way To Go’ To Reconcile: Expert
It will reportedly take a while before Prince Harry and Prince Charles repair their relationship. It is said that they still “have a long way to go” before arriving at a reconciliation.
Express UK said that Richard Palmer made the claims during an engagement with “Royal Round-Up,” alongside its host, Pandora Forsyth. At the time, they were discussing the Duke of Sussex’s NBC Today interview following his and the Duchess of Sussex’s brief visit to the United Kingdom.
The royal expert stated that the royal-born Prince “was asked whether he was missing his father and his brother.” However, “he completely sidestepped” the question.
Palmer explained that if the Wales princes were, indeed, “mending fences,” it would have been easy for them to answer questions. But, as he pointed out, this was not the case based on their recent interviews.
The royal expert continued that if Prince Harry and Prince William, as well as Prince Charles, were reconciling, “it would have been easy to point that out” instead of avoiding questions. He, then, added that there is “still a long to go yet” before they all repair their relationships with one another.
In the publication’s comment section, some netizens, especially readers of the platform, shared their thoughts about the report. Most of the remarks are critical of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
One individual said that they wonder whether the day will come when the Duke of Sussex realizes “he has made the biggest mistake of his life.” But, before ending the comment, the same netizen noted that that day would not come, adding that they “feel sorry” for his children.
Another commenter, meanwhile, emphasized that they want to see the former working royals “out of the [United Kingdom] forever,” urging others to “close the door” on the royal-born Prince. The user, also, claimed that the youngest Wales prince “had played victim for so long and trashed [the British Royal Family] time and time again.”
This all comes weeks after the Sussexes made a side trip to the United Kingdom before going to The Hague for the Invictus Games. They met with Queen Elizabeth II, as well as Prince Charles at Windsor Castle.
While Prince Harry shared some details about the engagement with the British Monarch, he did not talk about the reported meeting with his father. Sources, later on, alleged that the visit to the Prince of Wales “lasted just 15 minutes and came at the insistence of the Queen,” according to the New York Post.
