Jennifer Aniston has allegedly decided to shrink her inner circle.

In its May 2 issue, OK! magazine claimed that Aniston’s friends have been teasing her about being in self-imposed hibernation because she rarely goes out and hangs out with them.

A source claimed that Aniston has no problem hanging out with her friends. But she would prefer that they visit her at home instead of going out or partying with them.

“She’s so famous it’s nearly impossible for her to go out and get a moment of peace. She knows people are snapping photos of her on their phones wherever she goes and it’s exhausting for her to be constantly on show. Anyone who comes around has to be vetted and approved – it’s all very controlled,” the source said.

The source also said that Aniston is very careful with who she makes friends. After all, she already had a falling out with Chelsea Handler.

“Word is, Jen cut ties with Chelsea because she was gossiping about the fallout of her marriage. That was a big no-no as far as Jen’s concerned,” the source said.

But over time, Aniston has started to welcome Handler back into her circle. And she has also reconciled with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.

“Jen’s old wounds have healed and she and Brad are in a great place now. Jen admits she doesn’t get out that much these days, but she doesn’t feel any shame over it. She loves her house and is more than happy to have a small group of friends. She doesn’t need the rest of the superficial stuff anymore,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

It’s not true that Aniston has not been going out. The Friends star regularly hangs out with her friends. It’s possible that she hasn’t been photographed with them in public because she’s busy with her upcoming projects.

It’s not also clear why the tabloid is speculating about Aniston’s whereabouts and friendships when this is a private matter.

Additionally, Aniston rekindling her friendship with Pitt isn’t new. The exes have been friends for years. In fact, The Morning Show star even considers her ex-husband her buddy. So, it’s unclear why the tabloid is mentioning this as though Aniston and Pitt just patched things up in recent weeks.
