Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson’s marriage is allegedly falling apart.

In its April 25 issue, OK! magazine claimed that Simpson has become so obsessed with plastic surgery, and this has taken a toll on her marriage.

“Jessica is preoccupied with plastic surgery and it’s putting a real strain on things with Eric. They love each other dearly, but it hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing. There’s a lot of fighting,” the source said.

The source said that Johnson doesn’t support Simpson’s obsession with plastic surgery. In fact, if it were only up to him, he wouldn’t allow his wife to go under the knife.

“Eric can’t stand lip injections, and he’s begged his wife to stop getting them. But she just brushes him off. She doesn’t seem to realize how serious he is. It’s actually driving a big wedge between them,” the source said.

What’s worse is that Johnson is allegedly convinced that Simpson is living a double life.

“It’s confusing to him how she works so hard to prove she’s a devoted wife and mother, while at the same time she’s fixating so much on superficial stuff that shouldn’t matter, especially at this stage in her life,” the source said.

Friends of the singer have been urging her to listen to her husband so that she could save their marriage. However, Simpson allegedly refused to cooperate.

“It’s hard to imagine something as trivial as plastic surgery could put their marriage at risk, but it’s a very sore point for him. He feels Jessica spends an awful lot of time worrying about her looks, and he feels strongly that her energy would be better served concentrating on their family,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Simpson and Johnson’s marriage is falling apart.

It’s not also true that the couple has been feuding because of Simpson’s obsession with plastic surgery. This seems like a trivial reason for a couple to engage in a fight.

Meanwhile, Simpson also made headlines last month after her fans expressed concern over her behavior. During a live TV appearance on a home shopping network, Simpson reportedly looked as though she was drunk.

As such, some fans also became convinced that Simpson relapsed. However, nothing has been proven until today.
