Ezra Miller Arrested For Assault In Hawaii Weeks After First Arrest For Disorderly Conduct
Ezra Miller had another brush with the law.
On Tuesday, the 29-year-old actor was arrested after allegedly throwing a chair, which hit a woman in the forehead. It was said to have left a half-inch cut on the 26-year-old individual, although police said she refused treatment for the injury.
Page Six said that the Hawaii Island Police Department booked the DCEU actor earlier on April 19. He is facing a second-degree assault charge, as per local news outlet KITV4.
The same publication continued that the encounter took place at a private residence in lower Puna. Miller allegedly “became irate after being asked to leave,” per the police report.
As for the arrest, it was said to have happened at a traffic stop around 1:30 in the morning in Kea’au. The actor was, then, released from jail after nearly three hours, but the investigation remains.
This is not the first run-in Ezra Miller had with the authorities in Hawaii.
Late in March, the actor was arrested for harassment and disorderly conduct. CBS News said it came after Miller allegedly became “agitated with bar patrons who were singing karaoke.”
The “Flash” star was reportedly asked to calm down “several times” by the bar owner but refused to listen and yelled “obscenities” instead. The 29-year-old celebrity, also, grabbed the microphone from a girl singing at the karaoke and lunged at a man playing darts.
Miller was booked by authorities after midnight. A $500 bail was posted, leading to his release hours later.
On the same day, police escorted Ezra Miller off a Hilo property after a resident called the authorities. AP News reported that two guests filed a petition asking for a temporary restraining order against the celebrity for the incident that happened at the estate.
As per the court records, the “Justice League” actor allegedly burst into the guests’ bedroom and threatened them. The pair, also, accused the actor, who was earlier arrested, of stealing some of their personal belongings, including a passport and wallet.
The Hawaii Police Assistant Chief, Kenneth Quiocho, reportedly described Ezra Miller as a “29-year-old visitor from Stamford, Vermont.” He, also, noted that the actor was the source of police calls around the area about ten times since earlier in March.
The official stated, however, that the incidents were “manini” ones or “minor or small.” These reportedly included “filming people at a gas station, refusing to leave the sidewalk area of a restaurant, and arguing with people.”
