Meghan Markle claimed that it was Kate Middleton who made her cry and not the other way around. The said revelation, however, “disgusted” Prince William, according to an expert.

Express UK noted that the assertion emerged from Tina Brown, an author and former editor of Vanity Fair. She recently had an engagement with the Telegraph Magazine and talked about the British Royals, especially Prince Harry.

Upon touching on the subject of the royal-born Prince’s upcoming memoir, she alleged that the “attack” on the Duchess of Cambridge made by the Duchess of Sussex “disgusted” the Duke of Cambridge. She explained that this was because the future King’s wife could not “answer back” after all the comments from the former working royals.

The publication, then, said that this, also, “upset” the future Queen Consort because the “issue was discussed publicly.”

The public would recall that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared several bombshell revelations and allegations about some members of the British Royal Family during their Oprah interview in 2021. These included the one wherein the Duchess of Cambridge made her sister-in-law cry ahead of her wedding to the Duke of Sussex in 2018.

Following the interview, though, Prince William and Kate Middleton remained silent about the entire controversy. But, Buckingham Palace released an official statement, saying that the “whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been” for the Sussex couple.

It acknowledged the issues, as well, which the former working royals had raised during the interview with Winfrey and deemed them “concerning.” It noted, however, that “while recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously, and will be addressed by the family privately.”

Meanwhile, royal expert Camilla Tominey stated that Prince William and Kate Middleton, especially the latter, “rose decidedly above it all.” She was said to have made the claims during an interview with Stella magazine, according to Pinkvilla.

As reported, the expert insisted that the Duchess of Cambridge set aside “any personal resentment” she may have felt about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. She, also, alleged that the future Queen Consort “put her best foot forward in trying to carve a path to reconciliation” between Prince William and his younger brother.

Tominey continued that a few individuals “would have blamed” the Duke of Cambridge’s wife for giving the Duke of Sussex the cold shoulder. But, “she clearly resolved that they needed to be appeased rather than aggravated.”
