Kenan Thompson, Christina Evangeline 'Remain Close' After Ending 11-Year Marriage: Report
Christina Evangeline and Kenan Thompson have called it quits. But, even after ending their 14 years of relationship and 11 years of marriage, the two personalities reportedly “remain close” as co-parents of their two children.
A source told Us Weekly that the former couple are “completely amicable,” adding that the split was a “mutual decision.”
Also, there is “nothing juicy” about why they decided to separate. “They really just grew apart, and wanted different things,” with the insider noting that “being married for 11 years, together for 14, changes a lot of things.”
The same informant claimed that Kenan Thompson and Christina Evangeline “officially” ended things between them in November 2020. Despite this, they have “remained very close throughout the separation.”
The “Saturday Night Live” player reportedly still sees the model “almost every day,” especially when he is in town. Moreover, they often “go to dinners just the two of them.”
TMZ noted earlier that the comedian has been working on his new show, “Kenan,” in Los Angeles. As for his ex-wife, she has reportedly been in New York City.
The outlet, then, stated that neither of the two personalities have filed for divorce. Although, it is said to be “expected to happen in the near future.”
Page Six shared, however, that Thompson and Evangeline are “planning to file for divorce soon.” It, also, pointed out that it can confirm the matter.
Amid all the talks, though, the former pair have yet to make any official statements.
Kenan Thompson and Christina Evangeline tied the knot in 2011 after nearly four years of dating. Us Weekly reported at the time that they exchanged vows in the Arctic Room of the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta.
Close sources told the publication that the then-newly wedded pair are “very happy.” They have reportedly “lived together as a couple, and were excited to share the moments with close friends.”
The “SNL” star and the interior designer welcomed their first daughter in 2014. Four years later, they expanded their family with a new baby girl.
As for the two celebrities’ first meeting and encounter, there is very little information about the event. But, reports previously claimed that they met through talent manager Danny Estrada.
Kenan Thomspon is said to be the longest-running cast member of “Saturday Night Live.” He joined the sketch comedy series in 2003 after appearing on various shows on Nickelodeon.
As noted, the comedian was a fan favorite on “All That,” which ran on the network from 1994 to 1999. He, then, appeared on the material’s spinoff, “Kenan & Kel,” which aired side-by-side with the original title, from 1996 to 2000.
