Keith Urban is allegedly not thrilled to know that a movie about Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s failed relationship is in the works.

In its April 11 issue, New Idea claimed that Kidman just found out about the news that her marriage to Cruise could make it to the big screen, and she’s not also pleased.

“Finding out about it was the last thing she and Keith needed,” the source said.

The insider added that Kidman has been reassuring her husband that the movie won’t affect their marriage in any way. Luckily, the couple is on the same page about making their relationship work.

“They’re stronger than ever. Keith will always be there for Nicole. They’re trying to not let this rattle them too much. Nicole and Keith reassured themselves that there was no way Tom would let this fly. He’s super sensitive about his reputation and has used his power to stop other projects before. But so far doesn’t seem to have done anything about it,” the source said.

But the insider then said that it’s also entirely possible for Cruise to not be able to stop the project from moving forward. After all, he has allegedly lost his swagger in Hollywood in recent years.

“Nicole is hoping that this script is just paper that ends up shredded in a dumpster in Hollywood before long so she can get on with her life with Keith and keep those painful memories locked up forever,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

As of late, there’s no indication that a movie about Cruise and Kidman’s marriage is in the works. This wouldn’t also make sense before Kidman is already with Urban. And it’s also been years since she and Cruise divorced.

But if such a movie is in the works, it’s also unlikely for Urban to get upset. After all, he knows that this is just part of the business. And the fact that Kidman is not directly involved in the rumored project should be more than enough reason for the country artist to be at peace.

Still, these types of claims were made by the tabloid to make it seem as though there’s some tension between Urban and Cruise even when there’s really none.
