Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Speculated To Attend Brooklyn Beckham's Wedding After Missing Thanksgiving Service
There are speculations about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attending Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s wedding next week. It comes days after the couple missed the Service of Thanksgiving for the late Prince Philip in the United Kingdom.
Express UK released a report on the matter, sharing the details about the claims. As stated, the location of the upcoming high-profile event is only a short flight away from the former working royals’ mansion in Montecito.
Peltz and Beckham are set to tie the knot on April 9. Reports revealed that the event will take place at the actress’s family’s oceanfront mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.
The talks about the matter seemingly emerged after Spice Girl alum Mel B recently revealed that she will be attending the upcoming wedding. She reportedly shared that Victoria Beckham and David Beckham are inviting their own friends.
The Beckham couple, who are parents to the groom, are close friends with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The two celebrities were even in attendance during the couple’s royal wedding in 2018.
Accordingly, it would not reportedly come as a surprise if they extended a wedding invite to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry missed the special memorial service for Prince Philip earlier this week. The royal-born Prince was the only “major” royal member of the family who was not present at the event.
On Tuesday, the Windsor and Windsor-Mountbatten clan gathered at Westminster Abbey, alongside the more than 1,500 guests, for the Service of Thanksgiving. As noted, it was an event to celebrate the life of the late Duke of Edinburgh, who passed away in April 2021.
The reason for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s absence remains undisclosed. A spokesperson for the youngest Wales prince did release an official statement, though, regarding the matter.
Earlier this month, Prince Harry’s camp confirmed that he, alongside his wife, Meghan Markle, would not fly to the United Kingdom to attend the Service of Thanksgiving. While it did not dwell on the details, the rep said that the royal will visit Queen Elizabeth II “as soon as possible.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, especially the former, have since received criticisms and waves of backlash. This comes as many believe he decided not to attend due to his ongoing security row with the Home Office.
Meanwhile, the former working royals have maintained their silence amid all the talks and speculations.
