Demi Moore Thanks Bruce Willis For 'Blended Family' In Birthday Tribute To Former Husband
Demi Moore and Bruce Willis continue to have an amicable, close tie with each other. The former even recently paid tribute to her former husband’s 67th birthday on Saturday.
Us Weekly said that the “Ghost” actress posted a photo on Instagram, featuring her and the “Die Hard” star. She captioned the post saying, “Happy Birthday,” before thanking him for their “blended family.”
Willis’ wife, Emma Heming, commented on Moore’s “sweet” tribute using two heart emojis. She, also, shared a post on the same platform, showing the actor blowing out the candles on his cake.
Heming’s post seemingly confirmed that they all celebrated the actor’s birthday together, and with a chocolate cake that read, “Happy Birthday Daddy.”
Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were once an “it” couple in Hollywood. They were married for more than a decade from 1987.
The two celebrities, however, decided to part ways in 1998, with the divorce proceedings ending in 2000. They have since maintained a cordial relationship as close friends and co-parents of their three daughters.
Sometime after their split, Willis revealed that he still loves Moore, adding that they are “very close.” He, then, explained that they have a “lifelong commitment” to their children, and their “friendship continues.”
The “Sixth Sense” actor, also, noted that they are “probably as close now as [they] ever were.” In the end, he stated that it is “difficult to live your life and marriage under a magnifying glass, which is what happens to movie star couples.”
Years later, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis went on to form their respective new relationships and marriages. While the former tied the knot with Ashton Kutcher in 2005, the latter remarried in 2009 and welcomed two more daughters with Emma Heming.
Earlier in 2021, Demi Moore paid a sweet tribute to her ex-husband’s wife on Instagram. A separate report from Us Weekly stated that it was in honor of International Women’s Day.
To mark the celebration, the “G.I. Jane” actress recognized and highlighted “the women who inspire [her].” The list includes Heming and even referred to her as a “sister.”
Moore shared that she sees Willis’ wife as “family who [she] is honored to call a friend.” She continued that their “children are sisters and yet there is no name for what [their] family connection is to one another.”
The actress, also, pointed out that they are “mothers united” and “sisters bonded on this crazy adventure of life.”
