An ex-boyfriend of Emma Watson reportedly broke up with her because of her global fame. This comes as her career in the entertainment industry, as well as her advocacies, has made her one of the most popular and successful personalities in the world.

Cheat Sheet reported that the ex-boyfriend in question is Francis Boulle, a diamond heir and entrepreneur, who starred in the reality show “Made In Chelsea.” He once revealed that he and the “Harry Potter” actress had “a bit of a thing a while back,” which reports claimed to have happened in 2008.

However, the relationship did not last, with the personality noting that he has always been “an ambitious person,” adding that he wants to achieve his “own notoriety” for what he has done. Accordingly, he chose not to pursue the connection with Watson, saying that he “did not want to be the boyfriend of some child actress.”

Following the comments Francis Boulle made in 2011, Metro said that he clarified his remarks on social media. On Twitter, he wrote that his statements “were taken out of context.”

The personality continued he has “only the utmost respect” for Emma Watson. In the same post on the platform, he tagged the actress’s account, seemingly showing that they were on good terms.

The same publication, later on, noted that Boulle shared in his interview at the time about the “occasional” engagements with the “Little Women” star. He revealed that their “paths cross from time to time,” before saying Watson was “a really cool person.”

Emma Watson has always remained silent about her dating life. She even once explained why she rarely opens up when it comes to her relationships.

Us Weekly recalled that the actress previously stated that fame was “difficult” on her dating life because anyone who was with her in photos was “automatically” her boyfriend. She even quipped that the rumors and speculations made it look as if she had had “6,000 boyfriends.”

Nevertheless, reports listed some of the personalities who allegedly became her boyfriends in the last few years. After the brief fling with Francis Boulle in early 2008, the list moves on to Jay Barrymore in late 2008, Rafael Cebrian from 2009 to 2010, George Craig in 2010, and Johnny Simmons in 2011.

Emma Watson was, also, said to have dated Will Adamowicz from 2012 to 2014, Matthew Janney in 2014, Roberto Aguire in 2015, William “Mack” Knight from 2015 to 2017, Chord Overstreet in 2018, and Brendan Wallace later in the same year.

Reports, then, stated that she is currently in a relationship with Leo Robinton, with whom she allegedly started dating in 2019.
