Speaking to Daily Star, Kinsey Schofield explained the matter, noting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, indeed, have fans in the United States. However, “there is, also, a significant amount of people” who would like to see them out of the U.S. and back to the royal-born Prince’s home country.

The expert stated that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell engagement with Oprah Winfrey “has put them on American’s radar.” But, the “attitudes” toward them shifted when they “seemingly used a prime time television appearance to endorse Joe Biden for President.

Meanwhile, Mercury News reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s controversial interview with Winfrey caused their popularity in the United States to fall. Each of them has seen a “drop” in their favorable ratings in the last year, adding that “hostility toward them has grown.”

The royal-born Prince reportedly had a four-point drop in his favorable and popularity ratings. But, his unfavorable ratings rose from 17 percent to 26 percent.

The former Hollywood actress saw the same dynamic in her overall ratings in her home country. Americans who favor her dropped by 3-percentage points, while those who are not increased from 23 percent to 33 percent.

The popularity rankings of British Royals in the United States appeared to have maintained their positions in 2022. Express UK previously said that a poll from February showed how Kate Middleton is well-admired in the country.

He cited “mystery” as the reason behind the matter. He explained that the Duchess of Cambridge keeps her audience always “interested” because she does not spill everything in one sitting.
