Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani couldn’t allegedly spend any time apart.

In its March 21 issue, Us Weekly claimed that Shelton wants to spend 24 hours with his wife that’s why he wants Stefani to return as coach on The Voice.

However, the producers are not thrilled with the idea of having a couple as a coach on the show.

But Shelton allegedly threatened to quit the singing reality TV show if his request wouldn’t be granted.

“They want to work together as a married couple,” the source said.

The insider claimed that the producers tried to reach a compromise with Shelton, but things didn’t work out.

“They only offered Gwen the role of a celebrity advisor, but she turned it down because it’s not what she wants. Blake’s miffed that the executives aren’t taking his demand seriously. He is not happy, and he’s making sure it’s known,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

There’s no indication that Shelton wants Stefani to return to The Voice as a coach.

And there’s also no proof that the country artist threatened to quit the singing competition if his request wouldn’t be granted.

Shelton and Stefani do not have any reason to always want to be around each other because they get to spend so much time with their family when they’re at home.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only rumor that’s been surrounding Shelton and Stefani for years.

In recent months, multiple tabloids have been claiming that the couple wants to have a biological child together.

But since Stefani could no longer conceive naturally, she’s looking to hire a surrogate.

However, Stefani and Shelton have not been successful at finding a surrogate to make their dreams of having their own child come true.

For now, Shelton couldn’t be more content with having three adopted children with Stefani. After all, he serves as a stepdad to his wife and Gavin Rossdale’s kids.

Speaking of which, there are also rumors that Shelton and Rossdale are feuding because of the former’s involvement in the lives of the latter’s children.

Rossdale doesn’t allegedly want his kids to be closer to Shelton than him especially since he’s also a part of their lives.

However, there’s no proof that there are tensions between Shelton and Rossdale.
