Angelina Jolie allegedly wants to buy a jungle oasis in Cambodia after selling her shares at Chateau Miraval.

In its March 21 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Jolie has been developing a huge land in Battambang, where her Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation can be found.

A source claimed that Jolie is keen on buying a huge property in Cambodia as her way of staying as far away from Brad Pitt as possible.

“Angie wants to get as far away from Brad and their past life together as possible. She’s been putting down roots in Cambodia since her very first visit. Angelina and her family live in a beautifully decorated traditional Cambodian longhouse, which has at least eight bedrooms. The house has lots of wood, wicker, and bamboo inside – all locally sourced – and is adorned with Buddhist artifacts,” the source said.

Jolie’s home in Cambodia allegedly costs $10 million or more. And it also boasts of a lush tropical canopy.

In 2017, the Maleficent star purchased a six-acre plot beside her massive property for $32,000. And there are whispers that the actress plans to transform this into an eco-resort.

“There is a popular local waterfall nearby named Samlot Chas – but it’s now known as Angelina Jolie’s waterfall,” a source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no indication that Jolie plans to purchase an oasis in Cambodia.

It seems that the tabloid came up with this idea because Jolie and her children recently took a trip to the Southeast Asian country.

On Feb. 24, the mom of six shared photos of herself and her children in Cambodia alongside a beautiful caption revealing how much fun they had there.

However, a trip to Cambodia doesn’t necessarily mean that Jolie plans to buy another property there.

And it’s also true that the money that she will be used for the jungle oasis is the one that she got after she sold her shares at Chateau Miraval.

Jolie and Pitt are still embroiled in another lawsuit because the latter claimed that they had an agreement that they won’t sell their shares to outside parties no matter what.

However, Jolie’s lawyer insists that Pitt is trying to control his client even though they’ve been divorced for a couple of years.
