Kelly Clarkson Reportedly 'Ready' For New Love After Settling Divorce From Brandon Blackstock
Kelly Clarkson is getting back to the dating scene. She is now reportedly “ready to start looking for love again” as the divorce battle with Brandon Blackstock has come to a conclusion.
In the new issue of Us Weekly, a source revealed that the “Because of You” singer has already “entered the dating world.” Friends of hers are setting her up, adding that she is “open to dating again.”
The artist allegedly finds it “hard,” however, to set time for romance due to her hectic schedule. Even so, her pals are “still into” helping her in the new chapter of her life.
The outlet consequently explained what keeps Kelly Clarkson busy these days. As noted, she has a “pretty full plate” between co-parenting her two children with Brandon Blackstock and her career commitments.
The “My Life Would Suck Without You” singer has her own talk show. In addition to this, she is, also, a judge on “The Voice.”
Clarkson is set to co-host, as well, with Snoop Dog for the upcoming NBC title, “American Song Contest.” Moreover, she just had her last album released in October 2021.
While it is true that the mother of two has a busy schedule, there is no evidence to prove that she has, indeed, returned to the dating scene or her friends have begun setting her up. No confirmation has yet to emerge, and she nor her rep has made any comment about the matter.
Accordingly, this makes the latest narrative speculative unless otherwise stated. But, it is worth noting that Kelly Clarkson once talked about being "open to finding love again."
In December, the 39-year-old celebrity shared her thoughts about her divorce and hopes for the future. This came amid the promotion of her album, “When Christmas Comes Around,” according to People.
After reflecting on her past and revealing that she regrets “nothing,” Clarkson joked about having her next track collection carry the title, “Red Flag Collector.” On a more serious note, though, she said that she is “still open to whatever the future holds,” adding that one “never knows about love.”
Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock have finalized their divorce nearly two years after their split. Reports learned that the former agreed to settle with the latter on Tuesday.
The “Since U Been Gone” singer will have primary custody of the two children, who are of the ages 7 and 5. Blackstock will have them one weekend per month in Montana, but the arrangement will reportedly be reevaluated if he moves away.
Clarkson will pay her former husband a one-time payment of over $1.3 million. She will, also, provide him monthly child support of $45,601 beginning February 1. On top of it all, the songstress will shell out $115,000 per month in spousal support until 2024.
