Prince Charles once felt edged out by Kate Middleton’s mom, Carole Middleton.

While speaking with Daily Mail, royal author Katie Nicholl detailed the frosty relationship between the in-laws years ago.

A royal insider told Nicholl that Prince Charles felt the Middletons were spending more time with their grandchildren. The heir to the throne, on the other hand, would only see his grandchildren on a few occasions.

As a result, Prince Charles reportedly holds a bit of a grudge against Michael and Carole.

According to Nicholl, there was also a general feeling among the palace courtiers that Carole was quite possessive of her grandchildren.

Prior to this, Daily Star claimed that Prince Charles once blamed the Middletons for not being able to see Prince George often. During his conversation with his friends, the dad of two allegedly said that he feels Carole has taken over. Prince Charles also blamed the March of the Middletons for his exclusion.

By the looks of it, this issue has already been addressed by the royals and the Middletons internally. In the BBC documentary for Prince Charles’s 70th birthday, it was revealed that the heir to the throne spends a lot of time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

In fact, one of their favorite bonding moments is reading. Camilla Parker Bowles said that her husband usually goes out of her way to keep his grandchildren entertained. Prince Charles reads “Harry Potter” to Prince William and Middleton’s kids and he even uses different voices to differentiate the characters.

At present, Prince Charles is unable to hang out with his three grandchildren because he is currently self-isolating at Clarence House. In March, the Prince of Wales shocked Britons following his COVID-19 diagnosis.

But before his 14-day isolation was over, the palace announced that Prince Charles has recovered from the deadly virus. Despite his speedy recovery, Prince William and Prince Harry’s dad has been advised to stay at home.

The Middletons are also quarantining Berkshire, which means that they are also unable to see their grandchildren. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are in Anmer Hall with their parents.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles made headlines this week for encouraging Britons to help farmers harvest crops. He also acknowledged the fact that the farming industry, just like other industries has been greatly affected by the pandemic.

Prince Charles also reminded Britons that food doesn’t happen by magic. As such, if they want to harvest fruits and vegetables this year, an army of people is needed.
