The publication recently looked back at one of the apparent made-up stories about the actor and his private marriage to his wife of nearly two decades. It noted that Barroso and Damon are still together, adding that they have become targets of allegations due to their privacy.

The reputed outlet, also, said that it busted the divorce narrative about a year ago over "a lack of evidence." Moreover, it called out the tabloid that printed the claims, saying it is "obsessed" with the "Bourne" star.

The allegation in question came from Star magazine, which claimed that Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso's marriage was over. As stated, this came after witnesses saw the actor in public without his wedding ring on two occasions.

The "Good Will Hunting" star was reportedly "opting to go ring-less in public" as it was a "sign of things to come." His pals and circles were said to be "apparently concerned," as well about his drinking habits.

In the end, the supposed insiders shared that Barroso and Damon's marriage was "a long way from perfect." With these "receipts," it allegedly appeared that they were headed for a divorce.
