Prince Harry Deemed 'Reluctant' To Return, Face Family Due To 'Explosive' Memoir
It remains unclear whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return to the United Kingdom this year. But, a royal biographer believes that there is a reason why he is "reluctant" to fly back, and it does not have anything to do with his or his family's security.
Speaking to Closer UK, Tom Bower asserted that the royal-born Prince's upcoming memoir plays an integral role in this subject. He deems the material "so explosive" that it has become a reason why he is hesitating to come home.
The Duke of Sussex would not reportedly return because "he knows he cannot face" the British Royal Family. He cannot "be pleasant" with his family, "knowing what he has written about them" in his book.
Bower, also, asserted that Prince Harry's worries over his security are an "excuse." He takes that the memoir will have "a lot of casualties" and even "cause a lot of hurt."
The youngest Wales prince reportedly knows the book "has to" deliver to justify the payment he received for it. As stated, Penguin Random House paid him around $18.6 million in advance to write a tell-all.
For the Duke of Sussex's part, no word has come to light regarding his return to the United Kingdom. He has not released any official announcement or statement about the matter except for what his legal representative had said.
The public would recall that Prince Harry's legal camp says he and his family are "unable" to fly back to his home country without the necessary police protection. This is why he is currently in a legal battle with the Home Office following its decision not to allow him to personally pay for security.
As for the tell-all memoir, it first made headlines earlier in July. Page Six reported that he had been "secretly writing" the material for nearly a year, and it is set to drop later in 2022.
Sources told the publication at the time that Prince Harry had been working with Pulitzer winner J.R. Moehringer. Moreover, the first draft for the book was "almost completely written."
Following the reports, the Duke of Sussex released a statement regarding the matter. He said that he is writing the memoir not as a prince but as the man he has become today.
Although there is little information about the content of the book, several speculations have since emerged. Many reportedly believe that it will include criticisms toward the British Royal Family, especially Camilla Parker Bowles.
