Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie Allegedly Sealed Their Sibling Rivalry With Their Choice For Godparents For Sienna, August
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have allegedly ended the war of all wars with their choice for godparents for Sienna and August.
In its Feb. 28 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Princess Beatrice is closer to Prince William and Kate Middleton.
As such, she wants Prince William to be Sienna’s godfather and Middleton would be her daughter’s godmother.
Princess Eugenie, on the other hand, is closer to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
And a source claimed that she traveled all the way to the United States to attend the Super Bowl with Prince Harry and to ask him personally to be her son’s godfather.
Of course, Markle would serve as August’s godmother. And this is just the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s way of returning the favor after they asked Princess Eugenie to be the godmother of Lilibet Diana.
“There are rumors that Eugenie went to America to attend a christening for Harry and Meghan’s daughter, Lilibet, where there’s no doubt she would have been named godmother. Harry always said Eugenie would be godparent to his future daughter,” the source said.
The insider said that if Prince William and Middleton would accept Princess Beatrice’s request to be Sienna’s godparents, this would be a very telling sign of an ongoing royal feud.
But this time around, it’s no longer about Prince William and Prince Harry but about Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
“It doesn’t get more telling than that when it comes to who’s on whose side,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt for a number of reasons.
First, there’s no proof that Prince Harry and Markle asked Princess Eugenie to be their daughter’s godmother.
And it’s not also true that Princess Eugenie asked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to be August’s godparents.
Since Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are not feuding, there’s no reason for them to join in on the alleged royal rift between Prince William and Prince Harry.
And if this is the case, Princess Beatrice wouldn’t have also asked the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to be her daughter’s godparents.
In recent weeks, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have been pitted against each other by multiple tabloids.
Some are saying that the once best friends are having a falling out. However, this isn’t necessarily true. And there’s no indication that they are feuding.
