Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone have remained as good friends even after splitting in 2015. Apart from the friendship that they continue to share, the former celebrity couple are, also, said to be "actively looking for a project" together.

A "friend" of the two celebrities revealed the matter to OK! magazine for its February 28 issue. As stated, they are "ready for a reunion" on screen, adding that they both know "they would still be great on camera together."

Garfield allegedly had a hard time moving on from Stone at first. However, "time has healed" all wounds, allowing him to avoid the "whole toxic exes kind of situation."

The same source continued, meanwhile, that Emma Stone remains his former boyfriend's "biggest cheerleader and has been enormously impressed by his career." She would have even "happily joined" Andrew Garfield on "Spider-Man: No Way Home" but she was pregnant with her first child with husband Dave McCary amid the filming and production.

In maintaining the tone of the story, the unnamed "pal" of the celebrities noted that "everyone has always raved" about the former couple's chemistry on screen." This may be true, especially among the avid fans of the "Amazing Spider-Man'' duo. However, the same cannot be seemingly said about the latest assertions about them.

The insider, who claims to be a "friend" of the two celebrities, failed to provide any shred of evidence to support the allegations. Although Garfield and Stone have, indeed, remained on friendly terms, no one can confirm whether they are, truly, looking for a project together.

In addition, the actress did not even know about her former partner's stint for MCU's "No Way Home," according to Cheat Sheet. As reported, Andrew Garfield himself revealed that he lied to Emma Stone about being in the film.

In an episode of the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the "Tick, tick... Boom!" actor shared that his ex-girlfriend kept on asking him whether he is in the new "Spider-Man" film. He always responded as if he does not know anything about it, so, when the movie came out in December, Stone referred to him as a "jerk."

The publication noted, though, that it was all "in good fun" between the two stars. It only reportedly showed how they have "maintained a healthy friendship" over the years after their split in 2015.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield first met on the set of their first "Amazing Spider-Man" film in 2010. At the time, they were still in a relationship with Kieran Culkin and Shannon Woodward, respectively.

After their respective splits in 2011, dating rumors began to emerge in the following months. It was only in 2012, though, that they made their official debut as a couple.

The relationship continued for years, but they ended up separating for good reportedly in October 2015. They have since moved on to their lives, with Stone tying the knot to Dave McCary in 2020.
