Kate Middleton wasn’t allegedly thrilled when she found out that Camilla Parker Bowles will be styled as queen consort when Prince Charles ascends the throne.

In its Feb. 28 issue, Life & Style claimed that Prince William and Middleton were shocked to hear the queen’s statement during her Platinum Jubilee.

After all, the royal couple was allegedly hoping that Prince Charles would abdicate in favor of Prince William when the time comes.

But the queen’s wish for Camilla to be styled as queen consort means that Prince Charles cannot and will not abdicate.

“Kate knows that she wins in the popularity contest against Camilla and secretly believed she was a better candidate. But she became overly confident and it seems to have backfired,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Prince Charles found out that Prince William and Middleton were planning to have him sidelined. So, he allegedly scheduled a private meeting with the queen and gave her a long list of reasons why he should be allowed to ascend the throne.

“He noted their wealth of experience and knowledge, their ability to deal with crises, and last but not least, how they’ve turned their image around,” the source said.

According to the source, Prince Charles is also unfazed by all the scandals that are being thrown his way just to make it seem as though he’s not fit to become the future king of Britain.

“And the Diana love triangle is old news. People divorce and remarry all the time, and they represent a modern couple that the public can relate to. His pitch to the queen was perfect,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

There’s no indication that Prince William and Middleton have become so greedy to the point that they want to take over the monarchy after the queen passes away.

It’s not also true that Middleton and Prince William are hoping that Prince Charles would abdicate shortly after he ascends the throne.

It is important to note that Prince Charles has been waiting for his turn to lead the British monarchy for years. And he deserves to ascend the throne when the time comes.

And regardless of what the tabloid says, there’s no tension or competition between Camilla and Middleton.
