Kate Middleton is allegedly still reeling over Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy’s split because she has always wanted her brother-in-law to end up with her.

In its Feb. 21 issue, New Idea claimed that Middleton reached out to Davy recently so that the two of them could catch up.

A source claimed that the two women had a wonderful conversation and it was obvious that they missed each other a lot.

“Kate and Chelsy were thick as thieves. They always attended events together when they were dating William and Harry. [After their split], Kate quietly thought Harry made the biggest mistake of his life in letting her go,” the source said.

But what royal fans don’t know is that Middleton and Davy stayed in touch after all these years. And the Duchess of Cambridge was allegedly ecstatic when Davy attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018.

“And given things were already tense with Meghan Markle, she must have had a tinge of wistfulness about what could have been if he’d married Chelsy,” the source said.

According to the source, Middleton also reached out to Davy recently because she knows that the latter owns a luxury travel service in Africa. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are allegedly planning to go there for their joint 40th birthday celebration.

Luckily for the couple, Davy was more than willing to help them plan their trip.

“Chelsy has a lot of time for Wills and Kate. After all, there was a time in her life when she assumed they’d be her brother and sister-in-law. She would’ve been thrilled to assist,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

There’s no indication that Middleton reached out to Davy recently to ask the latter for help in planning her trip to Africa.

After all, there are a lot of people that could help Prince William and Middleton with travel planning.

It’s not also true that Middleton is secretly hoping that Prince Harry ended up with Davy and not Markle because she’s closer to his ex-girlfriend than her own sister-in-law.

By the looks of it, the tabloid is just making up this story about Middleton to make it seem as though there’s still bad blood between her and Markle even when there’s really none.

There’s also no indication that the two women met up because there are no photos to prove this claim.
