Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Allegedly At Risk Of Getting Fired By Spotify, Netflix Execs
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly in danger of getting fired by Spotify and Netflix.
In its Feb. 14 issue, In Touch Weekly claimed that Spotify and Netflix are now realizing that Prince Harry and Markle have not produced content for them.
While the couple has at least two projects in the works for Netflix, they don’t have anything lined up for Spotify.
“Of course, everything slowed down because of the pandemic, but they signed with Netflix 15 months ago and they’ve produced no content. Harry and Meghan are under pressure to deliver. There’s talk they could be fired,” the source said.
Last month, Spotify posted a job listing to hire producers for Prince Harry and Markle’s Archewell podcast. Around the same time, Netflix also started recruiting staff for Markle’s animated show, Pearl.
The source claimed that this move shows that the two streaming services are already getting impatient so they’re taking production into their own hands.
“They’re supposed to be much more involved, but they’re clearly in over their heads. So, now other people have to come in to manage their projects for them, which adds to the experience,” the source said.
Additionally, the source thinks that Prince Harry and Markle’s reputation is taking a hit because of their failure to release content for Spotify and Netflix.
“They’re starting to realize fame will only get them so far. They could end up losing everything,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.
It seems that they are inconsistent with the claims that they made about Prince Harry and Markle.
For instance, they claimed that Prince Harry and Markle could get fired. But they also alleged that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be working with more people to help get their projects up and running.
These contradicting statements prove that the tabloid is just making up stories about Prince Harry and Markle. If the Sussexes will be fired by Spotify and Netflix, the official statement will also come from the two streaming platforms and not from a tabloid.
As of late, no such thing has happened. Prince Harry and Markle’s shows for Netflix will be released as planned. And the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also working with Spotify for their next podcast entry.
