Miley Cyrus is allegedly dating 29-year-old pop star Maxx Morando.

In its Jan. 31 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Morando couldn’t be more proud to tell his friends that he’s dating Cyrus. And the latter is equally proud of her new boyfriend.

“She brought him with her to Miami for her big New Year’s Eve show and made sure everyone knew that he was her boyfriend. Miley and Maxx met in Nashville last year and instantly clicked. He’s a musician and artist, so he’s totally her type,” the source said.

The insider added that Cyrus became close with Pete Davidson over the New Year but she was aware that he’s committed to Kim Kardashian. So, even if Cyrus and Davidson performed on New Year’s Eve, the singer’s mind was alleged with Morando.

“Miley is a free spirit, and she had a great time with Pete, but it didn’t really shock any of her friends when she invited Maxx to Miami. They’ve been spending a ton of time together, and she really hasn’t been trying to hide it. He was with her for Lollapalooza and for BottleRock, and she goes to his shows to support him. They’re really cute together. She seems very smitten,” the source said.

However, one should still take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

As of late, there’s no indication that Cyrus and Morando are dating each other.

While it is true that the two musicians have been hanging out, it’s possible that this is simply because they’re from the same industry and because they’re also friends.

Cyrus has been single for quite some time. Following her divorce from Liam Hemsworth, the singer jumped into a brief relationship with Caitlynn Carter before dating Cody Simpson. However, both relationships didn’t last very long.

Since then, Cyrus has not dated anyone but she has been linked to a slew of women including Davidson.

Last month, multiple publications claimed that Cyrus and Kardashian were feuding with each other over Davidson. Kardashian wasn’t allegedly thrilled to know that the singer would perform with her boyfriend on New Year’s Eve.

However, these claims aren’t true either. Cyrus and Davidson are just friends. And Kardashian and Davidson’s relationship is still so new so it’s unlikely for the latter to even consider cheating on the former.

Cyrus is still single and it’s also unclear if she’s open to finding love again anytime soon.
