Celine Dion’s friends are allegedly worried about the singer’s deteriorating health.

In its Jan. 31 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that no one knows exactly what’s going on with the singer. So, everyone was alarmed when they learned that Dion was forced to cancel her live performances until April.

“No one seems to know what’s wrong. She’s absolutely crushed at having to cancel her shows, but more than that she’s very distressed over her situation. She’s always been a healthy person so this is a true reckoning for her. Her family is rallying around her after their initial shock, especially her three sons, who went through the loss of their father six years ago,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that Dion’s family and friends are praying that whatever it is that she’s going through will be temporary. And all of them are hoping that she would return to the stage as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Dion is still mourning the death of her husband, Rene Angelil. And some believe that her deteriorating health may have also been triggered by her husband’s passing.

“She’s not giving up. If she has to get up on stage with a whole new show that accommodates her problems, she will,” the source concluded.

While it is true that Dion was forced to cancel her performances until April, no one knows for sure if the singer’s health is deteriorating.

It is also true that Dion is still mourning the passing of her husband. But this doesn’t seem to have a direct connection as to why the singer canceled her shows until April.

A source recently told Yahoo! News that Dion is struggling with muscle spasms and nothing else.

“Recently [she] has been treated for severe and persistent muscle spasms which are preventing her from performing, and her recovery is taking longer than she hoped. Her medical team continues to evaluate and treat the condition,” the source said.

Dion also released a statement saying that she was hoping to be OK enough to perform for her fans. But she has no other choice but to focus on her recovery for now. The singer also thanked everyone for their love and support.

In her statement, Dion added that she hopes to get back to her full health so that she can perform for her fans very soon.
