Prince William and Prince Harry couldn’t be more different from their uncle, Prince Andrew.
In the book Harry: The People’s Prince, former royal chef Darren McGrady detailed what it was like cooking for the royal family.
He said that Princess Diana raised her sons to have manners and to be respectful especially toward their household staff.
Every time the brothers want something, they would always use the word, please. And Prince William and Prince Harry never forgot to thank those that cooked and served their food.
However, the same cannot be said about Prince Andrew. According to McGrady, the Duke of York was rude and disrespectful especially when he wanted to eat something.
Prince Andrew didn’t also mince his words so if he wanted to ask for mangoes, he would demand that someone bring it to the table immediately.
“Andrew always came straight to the point and told you exactly what he wanted. Whereas Harry had been taught to say ‘Please may I have…’, Andrew would bark, ‘Where are my mangoes? I want my mangoes.” I’m not surprised that Harry has turned out to be the same as Diana. She doted on him,” McGrady said.
And every time Prince Harry would hear Prince Andrew demand things from the household staff, he would always be surprised.
The former royal chef also talked about Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
He said that Fergie adored Princess Diana to the point that she always copied the late royal. When the Duchess of York saw Princess Diana teaching Prince William and Prince Harry how to be respectful, she also did the same to her children, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie.
However, McGrady also said that Fergie wasn’t able to sustain this habit because she couldn’t even remember the names of the household staff.
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew has also been making headlines recently amid reports that he could be convicted of sexually abusing Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
Earlier this week, Prince Andrew’s good friend, Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted following her sex trafficking charges. Now, all eyes are on Prince Andrew and royal fans are hoping that he would be charged for his wrongdoing.
However, there is also a possibility for Prince Andrew to be freed from any charges because of his connections. Others are saying that the Duke of York can continue to live a free life due to a technicality between Jeffrey Epstein and Giuffre’s 2009 agreement.
