Taylor Swift has allegedly become as sensitive as ever when it comes to discussions about her upcoming wedding to Joe Alwyn.
Since the couple still hasn’t gotten engaged, Swift allegedly gets offended when fans ask her when she and Alwyn would tie the knot.
In its Dec. 27 issue, Life & Style claimed that Swift’s reaction to such questions changed in recent months.
“Taylor used to roll her eyes, but now it sets her off and she gives people very short answers if they bring the subject up. This has been hanging over them for such a long time now, and quite frankly, the pressure is starting to get to her,” the source said.
The insider also said that Swift felt even more pressured to settle down with Alwyn after her best friend got engaged on Thanksgiving.
“Taylor and Joe have been together for something like four years so of course, she’s starting to wonder why he hasn’t popped the question yet. Joe takes marriage very seriously and when it does happen, it will be for life. If people really care about Taylor, they’ll stop with all the silly prodding. Joe’s going to do this in his own time, and until then, she just wants everyone to back off,” the source said.
In recent weeks, there have also been claims that Swift and Alwyn are already engaged. It’s unclear why the tabloids are insisting that this is the case and it seems they have forgotten that if Swift is engaged, she will be the one to share the news with fans.
As of late, Swift has not also reacted negatively to all the rumors and questions about her and Alwyn’s engagement. So, it’s unclear if she really gets upset or offended by them.
Last year, Swift once again sparked engagement rumors about she re-released one of her hit singles, “Love Story.” Fans became convinced that the singer dropped an Easter Egg in one of the lines in her song.
The original lyrics of “Love Story” go, “It’s a love story, baby just say yes.” But fans thought that the re-released version went, “It’s a love story, baby just said yes.”
But an entire year has passed and Swift and Alwyn have not shared news of their engagement. And the only sensible reason why this is the case is that they are not yet engaged.
