Prince Harry was recently slammed for being grumpy during his and Meghan Markle’s Australia tour three years ago.
In the documentary, The Princes and the Press, royal correspondent Valentine Low said that Prince Harry was having an attitude on tour to the point that he even stared daggers at the press.
“There was a long, and incredibly boring welcome ceremony in Fiji. And it was very interesting watching them both because Meghan was sitting just absolutely perfect on a little throne, Harry was just glowering. He was cross with the media, and he spent the entire welcome ceremony just diverting his gaze to one side just to stare daggers at the press pack,” Low said.
Prince Harry’s team asked him to say something to the press because they all waited for him and Markle’s arrival. However, the Duke of Sussex reportedly said something rude to them.
Markle’s husband thanked the press for being there, but he sarcastically said that it’s not as if he invited them.
Also in the documentary, royal author Robert Jobson claimed that Prince Harry upset Prince Charles while the latter was on a tour of the Middle East.
Jobson and Prince Charles were together, and he promised the heir to the throne that his trip to the Middle East will make front-page news.
However, the Duke of Sussex suddenly released a statement about the press and their treatment of his wife. And this was what made the cover of several British publications.
Jobson said that he was humiliated because he was unable to live up to his promise to Prince Charles. But the future king was more upset with his youngest son for stealing the spotlight from him.
This isn’t the first time that Prince Harry and Markle have been accused of stealing the royal family’s spotlight.
Years ago, the couple announced Markle’s pregnancy with Archie around the time of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding.
Markle and Prince Harry also announced their Megxit on Kate Middleton’s birthday last year.
And the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year aired around the time of Prince Philip’s death.
As of late, it’s unclear if all these things were just coincidences or were purposely done by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex so that they can keep pushing the buttons of the royal family.
