Queen Elizabeth was rushed to the hospital last month, and she stayed at the facility overnight. Shortly after she returned to Windsor Castle, a palace aide said that the monarch is feeling much better, but her doctors advised her to take it easy.
But in its Nov. 15 issue, National Enquirer claimed that the queen refused to listen to her doctors. In fact, upon arriving at Windsor Castle, she immediately turned on her computer and made a virtual appearance at one of her royal engagements.
However, she was unable to make it to Glasgow for the climate summit, and the tabloid’s source said that this shouldn’t be a surprise.
After all, the monarch seemingly covered up her grief following Prince Philip’s death by working a little too hard. Since her husband’s passing, the queen reportedly performed a total of 120 royal engagements at 95 years old.
Nineteen of these royal engagements took place between Oct. 6 and Oct. 19. So, it was obvious that Her Majesty was overworked.
“To put it bluntly, she was totally exhausted. Her age finally caught up with her. Her Majesty tried to rise above it all and keep her grief over Philip at bay by working harder than ever. She’s done 120 official engagements since his death – with 19 of them between Oct. 6 and 19. That’s simply too much for a woman her age. She can’t be superwoman forever,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that the palace may be lying about the queen’s health problems. Even if they said that she’s doing well, the monarch could still be dealing with something more serious.
After all, the palace simply said that Prince Philip was rushed to the hospital months before his passing. But they were silent during his final days. And the palace shocked the entire world when they announced that the Duke of Edinburgh has already died.
There are claims that the palace will do the same thing when it comes to Queen Elizabeth.
However, it is also important to note that the queen managed to get out of her house and drive her car on the Windsor estate days after she was hospitalized. This proves that she has fully recovered.
Her Majesty is also scheduled to make virtual appearances in the coming weeks. But most of her in-person royal engagements have already been passed on to Prince Charles and Prince William.
