Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to quit their royal duties and relocate to the United States has been very profitable.
Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe told Woman UK, in its Nov. 6 issue, that Prince Harry and Markle are most likely raking in $294,000 daily since they left the United Kingdom.
While the figures may seem a bit too large, this is not necessarily shocking because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sealed multiple deals since they left the United Kingdom.
Last year, Prince Harry and Markle announced their multi-year deals with Netflix and Spotify. Months later, Prince Harry announced his partnership with a publishing company. And most recently, the Sussexes have also partnered with Ethnic.
But this isn’t where all the couple’s deals will end. In fact, there are predictions that Prince Harry and Markle will continue to sign contracts now that they have more flexibility when it comes to accepting jobs.
According to Larcombe, it seems that Prince Harry and Markle are doing so much better than Prince William and Kate Middleton financially.
“Harry and Meghan are, of course, entitled to earn money as private individuals. At the very least they have to cover the bill for security these days. But spare a thought for William and Kate, for whom the burden of royal duty has no salary. In the long run, William will inherit a fortune when he becomes king – but wasn’t that the job Harry said his brother doesn’t want?” he said.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle were also criticized for partnering with Ethnic since the company has ties to other groups accused of misconduct.
According to National Enquirer, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be more careful when it comes to the companies that they partner with.
After all, Ethnic currently has a $7 million holding on Facebook, which was recently accused by a whistleblower of online bullying. Prince Harry and Markle have spoken up about the issue because they have been bullied online themselves and yet they still partnered with the company.
Ethnic also has ties to Nike, which is a brand accused of child and sweatshop labor, as well as a $1.3 million investment with Uber, which was accused of sexual harassment and discrimination.
Prince Harry and Markle have not explained why they still teamed up with the company. But their critics are convinced that it’s all because of the money that they got.
