Amal Clooney is allegedly planning a surprise trip to Queensland.
In its Nov. 1 issue, New Idea claimed that George Clooney has been filming in Queensland for his upcoming movie, Ticket to Paradise. The actor is joined by Julia Roberts in the film.
A source claimed that Amal heard from her husband just how much fun he’s been having in Australia, and this encouraged her to pack her backs and visit the actor.
“She’s made calls to her friends in Sydney to work out dinner plans and even suss out the best daycare options. Due to COVID-19, it’s been so long since she’s seen her Aussie friends and she is really looking forward to catching up,” the source said.
Other than Amal, the tabloid also claimed that George’s good friend, Sandra Bullock is also planning a trip to Australia with her partner, Bryan Randall.
Bullock allegedly wants to spend some time with the Clooneys, as well as Roberts and her family during their short visit.
“Sandy and Bryan need this. After lockdown, freezing Canadian film sets, and a couple of years in knits, Sandra wants to spend their family holidays somewhere warm. She’s seriously considering George’s offer to join them for some fun on the Great Barrier Reef,” the source said.
But as exciting as a celebrity reunion in Australia sounds like, there’s no truth to them. First, the tabloid was unable to provide any proof that Amal will be visiting her husband in Australia.
If she is, it’s highly likely for Amal and George to spend as much time as they can with each other.
As for Roberts, there’s also no indication that her entire family will visit her on the set of her new movie. Other tabloids previously claimed that Roberts already relocated to Australia, but this isn’t also correct.
Bullock and Randall are not planning a trip to Australia either. If they are, their plans will most likely be kept private so there’s no way for a tabloid to know that they want to meet the Clooneys and Roberts.
It’s obvious that the tabloid is just speculating on the A-listers’ whereabouts since Roberts and George are in Australia, and they are also away from their families.
According to Variety, Ticket of Paradise is slated for release in the US next year.
The romantic comedy is produced by Universal Pictures and directed by Ol Parker.
