Victoria Beckham is allegedly butting heads with her future daughter-in-law, Nicola Peltz.
In its Nov. 1 issue, New Idea claimed that Beckham previously expressed her desire to plan Brooklyn Beckham and Peltz’s wedding, and the couple initially said yes.
However, Peltz recently changed her mind and told Beckham that she and her future husband want to take charge of the wedding planning.
A source claimed that this didn’t sit well with the fashion designer because she’s the type of person that wants to be in control of everything.
“Posh has been incredibly generous with her time and efforts. She’s worked up sketches for a series of gowns for Nicola to take her pick from. It would be a total dream to dress her,” the source said.
Unfortunately, the former Spice Girls member allegedly found out through common friends that Peltz doesn’t want Beckham to be involved in her wedding dress selection.
“Nicola’s grateful, but she really wants to go with an up-and-coming designer with a more modern edge. Nicola and Posh love each other of course, but it’s not always smooth sailing. We’re talking about two very big personalities – fiercely fashionable ones at that,” the source said.
However, it’s obvious that the tabloid is just pitting the future in-laws against each other.
As of late, Brooklyn and Peltz are still mum about their upcoming wedding. So, no one knows for sure which designer the latter would wear or if she said yes or no to her future mother-in-law.
But regardless of what Peltz decides, it’s almost guaranteed that Beckham will play a huge part in her son’s wedding. After all, she’s a devoted mom to her children.
This isn’t the first time that Beckham and Peltz were pitted against each other.
Exactly a year ago, Woman’s Day claimed that Beckham was seething after learning that her son and Peltz’s wedding will no longer push through.
A source claimed that Beckham is upset because she was so busy planning her son’s wedding only to find out that all her efforts will go to waste.
However, it’s not true that Brooklyn and Peltz’s wedding will no longer push through. Instead, the couple just postponed their big day because of COVID-19.
Now that things are slowly returning to normal, Brooklyn and Peltz’s wedding will finally push through. However, it’s unclear where the ceremony and reception will be held.
