Katie Couric is allegedly ready to tell-all. The former Today host is releasing a memoir on Oct. 26 titled Going There. And it will shed light on her relationship with Prince Harry and Matt Lauer.
In its Oct. 18 issue, In Touch Weekly claimed that Couric was ready to burn bridges with the two A-listers before she even thought of publishing her memoir.
“Katie’s very catty in the book. And she’s definitely burning bridges. But she’s done caring what anyone thinks,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that Couric felt that now is the best time, to tell the truth – or at least her version of the truth.
After all, she had complicated relationships not only with Prince Harry and Matt Lauer but also with Jeffrey Epstein and Martha Stewart.
Earlier this month, a teaser for her memoir was released. And in the short pages, Couric accused Prince Harry of reeking of alcohol and cigarette.
She also claimed to be disgusted by some of the royal’s comments and statements about controversial issues.
As for Lauer, Couric is allegedly disgusted with her former co-host. After all, she even defended Lauer from all the sexual misconduct allegations from years ago.
“The general rule was, ‘It’s none of your business. A don’t ask don’t tell culture where anything goes and everything did,” she wrote.
Following the allegations of sexual misconduct, Lauer was fired from Today. At the time, Couric texted her former co-host some sweet and encouraging words.
However, it didn’t also take her very long to realize that the allegations against Lauer were all correct.
As for Epstein, Couric described the late billionaire’s home as creepy. After all, there were chandeliers and body parts artwork everywhere.
Couric’s then-boyfriend joined her during on her visits and he noticed how young Epstein’s household staff were.
“I couldn’t imagine what Epstein and Andrew were up to, apart from trying to cultivate friends in the media. Which, in retrospect, they must have figured they’d need when the pedophilia charges started rolling in,” she wrote.
While so many excerpts from Couric’s book have already been released, readers can expect so much more.
After all, the former Today host vowed to tell-all. And if this means burning bridges with her old pals from the industry including Prince Harry then so be it.
Unfortunately, Couric didn’t say such a thing. This was just an assumption made by the tabloid.
