Prince Charles is allegedly seething at Prince Andrew and his alleged involvement with Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
In its September 13 issue, Life & Style claimed that Prince Charles summoned his younger brother for a crisis talk in Balmoral because he’s sick and tired of Prince Andrew burying his head in the sand.
“There’s been a massive showdown at Balmoral. He has no sympathy for Andrew for letting this situation fester. He’s made it clear that if Andrew is innocent as he’s claimed, he must take action before the situation spirals further,” the source said.
Unfortunately, the Duke of York is allegedly refusing to take any responsibility for what he’s done. And he’s been sulking at home while feeling sorry for himself.
Prince Andrew doesn’t also seem to care about the impact the allegations have on the royal family, especially Queen Elizabeth. And this is what makes Prince Charles angrier.
“Charles thinks Andrew is a disgrace and a coward and is worried sick about the effect this is having on their poor 95-year-old mother. He said there’s no way Andrew will ever be welcomed back into the family’s inner fold and has vowed to strip him of the royal perks, too,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Prince Charles didn’t summon Prince Andrew to Balmoral for a crisis talk.
And even if he did, it’s unlikely for a tabloid to know all the details. After all, Prince Charles and Prince Andrew’s crisis talks would’ve been private.
As of late, Prince Andrew hasn’t addressed Roberts’ lawsuit. But it is possible that he’s staying mum on the issue because this is the advice of his lawyers.
And while it is true that the allegations are impacting the royal family negatively, there’s no truth to the claims that Prince Charles thinks his younger brother is a disgrace and a coward.
Reports about Prince Charles and Prince Andrew not getting along because of their differences have been rife for years.
There were also claims that the heir to the throne grew up feeling jealous of his younger brothers because they are closer to the queen.
Her Majesty became a more hands-on parent following the birth of Prince Andrew. And she and Prince Philip were also involved in raising Prince Edward.
However, the queen was very busy following the births of Prince Charles and Princess Anne that’s why they grew up under the care of their nannies.
