Meghan Markle allegedly had big plans for her 40th birthday, but she had to cancel them at the last minute.
In its August 9 issue, Heat UK claimed that Markle planned her own birthday because she knew exactly what she wanted to do.
A source claimed that Markle invited a small group of her friends to her house in Montecito. And there was supposed to be singing, dancing, and lots of food.
However, the Duchess of Sussex ended up celebrating her birthday with Prince Harry and their two children only. And she’s allegedly putting all the blame on the royal family.
The insider said that Markle was thrown off by the recent backlash that Prince Harry received after he announced that he signed a $20 million four-book deal.
Even though it was the Duke of Sussex’s decision to release a memoir, everyone put the blame on Markle and accused her of encouraging Prince Harry to write the book.
“Once again, Meghan feels like everyone’s ganging up on her,” the source said.
To make things worse, Markle and Prince Harry also found out recently that their daughter Lilibet Diana cannot be christened at Queen Elizabeth’s church.
Prince Harry was allegedly the one that asked the queen if Lili could be christened in her church, but the monarch said no.
As such, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex couldn’t help but feel that it was such a low blow from the monarch.
“We shouldn’t be punishing Lili for Meghan and Harry’s bad behavior. Archie and Lili are small children. They’re not politics. They’re not pawns. They’re not part of the game,” the source said.
And since Archie and Lili are still technically royals, they are allegedly entitled to the same things that their cousins are getting from Her Majesty.
However, the tabloid’s claims are not entirely true. After all, it was previously revealed that Markle opted to not have a big celebration on her birthday.
After all, she chose to mark her special day by launching a new initiative wherein she asked 40 of her friends to speak to 40 individuals who lost their jobs during the pandemic. The conversation will reportedly last 40 minutes.
As for Lili’s upcoming christening, it’s unlikely for Prince Harry to ask the queen if his daughter could be christened there. After all, Prince Harry and Markle currently reside in the United States. So, it wouldn’t make sense for them to travel all the way to the United Kingdom for a christening.
