Prince William and Kate Middleton will reportedly travel to the United States to meet Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s newborn, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. Sources said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are planning for a lowkey trip along with their three kids.
Over the past few months, there have been rumors about the alleged feud between Prince William and Prince Harry. Previous reports have claimed the two aren’t on good terms after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a series of allegations against the Royal Family.
However, this feud might be ending now as the Cambridges are reportedly heading to the US to meet Lilibet Diana, who was born on June 4, 2021. Per sources, the royal couple takes George, Charlotte, and Louis to see their newborn cousin.
"William and Kate want to meet Lili, and they agree it's only fair that they visit Harry and Meghan on their home turf,” a source told Us Weekly.
This might be a chance for the brothers to discuss the recent happenings in the Firm, which could help them heal the alleged rift. In addition, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge want to visit the US with their children, so it’s a “win-win” for everyone.
“At the end of the day, William and Harry both realize blood is thicker than water,” added the source.
Another insider noted that the planned trip of Prince William and his family will be kept in secret. There won’t be pictures of them spending time with the Sussexes as they want to keep this visit as secret as possible.
However, Kensington Palace hasn’t responded to the claims as of this writing.
Meanwhile, the statue of the late Princess Diana will be unveiled in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace on July 1. The date would have been the 60th birthday of the Princess of Wales. Prince William and Prince Harry are expected to be present at the event.
Markle won’t accompany her husband as she chose to stay in the US to be with Lilibet Diana and their firstborn, Archie Harrison. The Duchess of Sussex was last seen in the UK in 2020 before she and the Duke of Sussex stepped down as senior members of the Firm.
Last April, Prince Harry returned to the United Kingdom to attend the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip. This is the first time he was seen with Prince William after moving to the United States. Speculations about their alleged feud were further ignited when they appeared distant from each other.
