Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have vowed to not spoil their children. But Archie’s second birthday was reportedly an exception.
In its May 24 issue, Life & Style shared details from Archie’s second birthday bash at home with his parents.
A source claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex treated Archie with a chocolate fountain, a pool day, and his favorite barbecue.
“Harry went out and bought a chocolate fountain for the occasion, plus party hats, balloons, candy, and a delicious multilayer birthday cake – everything a kid could want. They also got him so many gifts – books, a toy car, jigsaw puzzles, a children’s cooking kit, and activity games for the outdoors. Archie is one lucky little boy,” the source said.
According to the source, Prince Harry and Markle are very proud of their son because he’s growing up to be quite the character. He reportedly learned how to sing the “Happy Birthday” song ahead of his special day.
Archie is also growing up to be independent, confident, and determined. When he wants something, he makes sure that his parents know about it.
Meanwhile, the source also claimed that Prince Harry and Markle are raising their son to be mild-mannered. At such a young age, Archie already knows how to say please and thank you.
And even though there are still some tensions within the royal family, the source claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton sent Archie a birthday gift all the way from the United Kingdom.
“They mailed Archie a birthday gift and signed the card from their children – George, Charlotte, and Louis – and themselves. William and Kate really wanted to do something nice for their nephew,” the source said.
In related news, Archie is reportedly excited to become a big brother to his baby sister. He puts his hands on Markle’s tummy all the time and tries to feel his baby sister inside.
However, one should still take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. After all, Prince Harry and Markle threw Archie a private birthday celebration. So, there’s no way for a tabloid to know all these details from his special day.
The only information that the public knows about Archie is the one from his parents.
During their interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that Archie has his own chicken nook and he’s also quite a chatterbox.
