Tom Cruise is allegedly at his breaking point after he suffered from another meltdown on the set of Mission: Impossible.
In its May 24 issue, National Enquirer claimed that the pandemic has been especially hard for Cruise. After all, he’s been getting angrier and angrier day by day.
“The pandemic has been hard on everyone. Tom was brave to continue filming, but no one knows when he’ll snap next. He’s like a ticking time bomb. He’s a perfectionist and will do things over and over – no matter the cost. That worries the movie bigwigs. They need this in the can yesterday,” the source said.
According to the source, Cruise is also stressing over the fact that his company is funding half of the cost of Mission: Impossible. The delays in the movie’s release date from July 2021 to May 2022 have also added to the actor’s pressure.
So, Cruise couldn’t allegedly help but worry if his movie will be a huge hit at the box office. And if it flops, he’s sure that it will greatly affect his career.
Last year, Cruise made headlines after he lashed out at production members who were on set without their face masks on. Someone filmed Cruise lashing out at them, and he received a slew of mixed reactions for what he did.
Meanwhile, the tabloid also claimed that Cruise is also fuming when it comes to his co-star, Hayley Atwell. Months ago, there were claims that the two are dating.
But it didn’t take long for the world to know that Atwell has a boyfriend, and Cruise isn’t allegedly thrilled. In fact, the actor snaps every time someone asks him if he likes his co-star.
“Tom is Peter Pan. He never wants to grow up. But he’s going to have to face reality. How many times do we want to see Tom run in a movie? It’s kind of sad he’s still doing stunts at nearly 60,” the source said.
However, it seems that the tabloid is just targeting Cruise for what he did months ago. There is no indication that Cruise has still been fuming and lashing out at everyone on the set of Mission: Impossible.
It also seems unlikely that Cruise would be upset simply because he knows Atwell is dating someone else. After all, his relationship with his co-star is strictly professional.
