Princess Diana made headlines for all the wrong reasons why she was still alive.
Following her divorce from Prince Charles, courtiers claimed that the Princess of Wales didn’t want to adhere to the rules and traditions of the royal family.
But while speaking with Woman UK, royal expert Jennie Bond said that Princess Diana would’ve adapted to her life as a royal if she and Prince Charles didn’t divorce.
In fact, it was the end of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage that encouraged the latter to break away from the royal rules and traditions. After all, she must have felt that there’s no reason to follow the royal orders because Prince Charles chose Camilla Parker Bowles over her.
Bond also said that Princess Diana would’ve wanted Prince William to welcome Meghan Markle into the royal fold since she’s Prince Harry’s wife.
At some point, the Duchess of Sussex would’ve had to be included by the royal family because she’s legally married to the Duke of Sussex.
The royal expert added that if the Princess of Wales was still alive, she would’ve encouraged her sons to patch things up before their issues escalated. It would have taken Prince William and Prince Harry this long to mend their broken fences.
Unfortunately, the brothers only have their dad, Prince Charles. And the heir to the throne is not one to meddle with petty fights between his sons.
Meanwhile, Princess Diana also made headlines this week amid claims that Prince Harry might not attend the unveiling of her statue in July.
While speaking with The Sun, royal commentator Phil Dampier said that Markle might encourage Prince Harry to skip the event that he’s supposed to attend with Prince William.
Dampier also said that there’s no chance for Markle to join Prince Harry on his trip to the United Kingdom if he decides to push through with it.
The royal commentator also said that the strained relationship between the Fab Four will affect Prince Harry's decision to attend the unveiling of the statue. After all, he and Markle don't have a good relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
However, since the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue is still two months away, anything can still happen. And there’s still a possibility for Prince Harry to attend as a sign of respect to his late mother.
