Meghan Markle has allegedly banned Queen Elizabeth from meeting her unborn daughter. In its May 10 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Markle has zero intention of bringing her second child to the United Kingdom to visit Prince Harry’s relatives.
A source claimed that Markle’s decision stemmed from how the royal family treated Prince Harry when he returned home to attend Prince Philip’s funeral.
The Duke of Sussex was allegedly shocked with the reception he received from some members of the royal family, particularly Princess Anne and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. The two female royals didn’t bother to talk to him at all.
“I’m not sure what Harry expected. It hadn’t even been a month since he and Meghan double-crossed the family with their Oprah interview, which aired while Prince Philip was dying. He could hardly have been planning to waltz on into hugs and warm welcomes,” the source said.
Still, the insider insisted that Markle couldn’t help but feel upset with the reception that Prince Harry received. So, she’s getting her revenge on the royal family, most especially the queen by making sure that she will never meet her daughter.
According to the source, Markle has no desire to ensure that her children would have a relationship with Prince Harry’s side of the family, including their cousins.
Meanwhile, the source said that the queen has always had a soft spot for Prince Harry. So, she initially tried to accept Markle into the royal fold.
However, it didn’t take long before the monarch gave up on trying to have a relationship with Markle because of what she’s done.
In fact, following their alleged falling out, the queen developed a closer relationship with Prince Charles and Prince William. And she’s also now siding with the father and son during their discussions about Prince Harry and Markle.
However, despite the ongoing rumors surrounding Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship with the royal family, the couple has never said that they fell out with the queen.
In fact, during their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry revealed that he sometimes FaceTimes with his grandparents.
Following Prince Philip’s death, Markle phoned the queen to offer her condolences. During their conversation, the queen also had the opportunity to talk to Prince Harry and Markle’s son, Archie.
This gesture proves that Markle is not trying to keep her children from seeing the queen. In fact, if traveling to the United Kingdom is safe for everyone, it’s highly likely for the Sussexes to visit Her Majesty very soon.
