Prince Harry allegedly asked Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, to stay at their mansion while he was in the United Kingdom.
In its April 26 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Prince Harry was worried about his wife’s pregnancy so he didn’t want to be away from her.
However, the Duke of Sussex didn’t also have any other choice but to fly to the U.K. for Prince Philip’s funeral. After all, he has a wonderful relationship with his late grandfather.
So, to lessen his fears and worries, he asked his mother-in-law to spend a couple of days with Markle, who is pregnant with their second child.
Prince Harry also asked Markle’s friend, Janina Gavankar to standby in case something happens to the Duchess of Sussex and their son, Archie.
“It was a last-minute scramble to ensure they had a safety net and Harry felt comfortable leaving Meghan. But truth be told, I bet she was relieved to have the pregnancy as a buffer from having to accompany Harry,” the source said.
Markle didn’t allegedly want to join Prince Harry to the funeral because she knew that all eyes would be on her. She also believes that the royal family would treat her coldly if they saw her just weeks after her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Still, it was revealed that the Duchess of Sussex called Queen Elizabeth after Prince Philip’s death to offer her condolences. She also showed the queen her great-grandson, Archie.
The Suits alum also reportedly watched Prince Philip’s funeral on television. And Markle’s heart went out to Prince Harry and the royal family the entire time.
As of late, there’s no proof that Ragland stayed with Markle while Prince Harry was in the United Kingdom. And there’s also no proof that Prince Harry phoned Gavankar to help Markle in case there’s an emergency.
By the looks of it, the tabloid is just making up stories in relation to Markle’s sensitive pregnancy since she suffered a miscarriage last summer.
In November, Markle revealed that she lost her unborn child while Prince Harry wasn’t at home. The next thing she remembers as she was in the hospital and was told that her baby didn’t make it.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex mourned the loss of their unborn child in July. And it was only in November that they felt ready to share the harrowing details of Markle’s miscarriage.
