Simon Cowell is allegedly seeking the support of some of his industry friends like Cheryl and Liam Payne after he was recently accused of bullying.
In its April 17 issue, Heat UK claimed that Cowell is worried that more people would drag him down after he helped them with their careers.
On Twitter, the Jedward Twins started an online tirade against Cowell by calling him the “Mafia leader.” They also revealed that they didn’t receive a single cent from The X-Factor but Cowell made millions from the program.
A source claimed that Cowell’s team is holding crisis talks amid the allegations.
“He’s absolutely reeling and is worried that more acts could speak out, even though he offered them an opportunity for fame and gave them unparalleled exposure on the show. He’s called Cheryl for a bit of support and is hoping she’ll speak up for him should he need her to,” the source said.
Cowell is also reaching out to Payne and the other members of One Direction to make sure that they won’t turn against him.
Since Cheryl and Payne have not publicly shown support for the music mogul, the source claimed that Cowell can’t help but feel hurt and blindsided. After all, he knows that the music industry is tough but he’s not the one that invented all the rules.
The former American Idol judge also allegedly thinks that he shouldn’t be made to look like the bad guy when he’s not exploited anyone.
It is important to note that the Jedward Twins are the only two artists that namedropped Cowell. Other former The X-Factor contestants only threw shade at music executives.
Meanwhile. Cowell also made headlines today after Paula Abdul shockingly slammed him on the first American Idol show this season.
Abdul served as a guest judge on the reality TV show after it was announced that Luke Bryan had to quarantine at home after contracting COVID-19.
Host Ryan Seacrest welcomed her on the program by holding up his tablet to show Randy Jackson. The latter also served as a judge on American Idol for many years.
Seacrest told Abdul and Jackson that seeing them feels just like the old times. The female singer agreed, but she also said that they’re missing the STD. The remark is intended for Cowell.
When Seacrest asked Abdul what she meant by STD, the singer said “super talented debonair.”
As of late, Cowell has not responded to Abdul’s shade.
