Julia Roberts reportedly believes that family is the most important thing. And this is why she’s open to quitting Hollywood if it means not being able to spend time with her kids and husband.
In its April 19 issue, OK! magazine claimed that Roberts was already contemplating quitting the industry as early as 2018. But she decided to stay and appear in Amazon’s Homecoming because the filming schedule still allowed her to go home and have dinner with her children.
“Julia’s a proud soccer mom. She does the homeschooling and helps with all the kids’ assignments. No matter how amazing a movie or TV project is, she won’t do it if it interferes with her children’s schedules. Family comes first, everything else is secondary,” the source said.
The insider also said that Roberts’ previous divorce from Lyle Lovett changed her perspective of life and relationships. So, when she met Danny Moder, she vowed to make their marriage work no matter what.
However, the couple’s marriage hasn’t always been easy. But Moder has made sure to give Roberts the life that she always wanted and deserved.
According to the source, Roberts and Moder hit a rough patch recently after they decided to buy a home in San Francisco. After all, Moder thought that this meant Roberts no longer wanted to live in Los Angeles.
However, it is important to note that Roberts and Moder still live in their home. And there’s no proof that she wanted to quit Hollywood recently.
It is also not true that Roberts has taken a step back from acting. It has just been announced that the Pretty Woman star will appear in Ticket to Paradise alongside George Clooney. The movie is slated for release next year.
There are also rumors that Roberts could guest star on ABC’s Rebel. The new series is reportedly inspired by Erin Brokovich, one of the characters that Roberts portrayed in her movies.
Rebel follows the life of Annie “Rebel” Bello, a blue-collar legal advocate who doesn’t have a law degree but she’s known for her brilliance and spunk.
In Erin Brokovich, Roberts played the role of Erin, a brash legal clerk turned activist. She built a case against Procter and Gamble (P&G) for poisoning the drinking water in California.
As of late, there is no confirmation that Roberts will make a cameo in Rebel. But it seems anything is possible in the industry.
