Almost a month after confirming they were expecting a child, couple Rupert Grint and Georgia Groom have now announced the birth of their daughter.
USA Today reports that publicist Clair Dobbs, who represents the couple, confirmed that Grint and Groome are “delighted” to confirm that they now have a baby girl. Dobbs said that aside from confirming the birth, the couple also wanted “privacy at this special time.”
Dobbs was also the same publicist that confirmed Groome’s pregnancy back in April. Speculation began after pictures came out showing the couple shopping for supplies out in London. Groome had a prominent baby bump as the couple stocked up for the lockdown being implemented on the United Kingdom.
As noted by Cosmopolitan, Grint and Groome have been a very private couple, with most people even unaware that the two were in a relationship until the pictures of Groome’s baby bump began circulating.
The couple has been together since 2011, or almost a decade now. While photos of the two have been few and far between, there have been a number of sightings that hinted at their relationship.
In 2019, the couple was seen wearing matching rings while out at lunch, sparking marriage rumors which have not been confirmed or denied even now.
A lot of people recognize Grint from his role as Ron Weasley in all eight films of the very successful “Harry Potter” film franchise. From “Harry Potter,” Grint went on to star in films like “Moonwalkers,” “Wild Target,” “Cherry Bomb,” and “Driving Lessons.” Aside from films, Grint has also launched a successful television career, with roles in “The ABC Murders,” “Snatch,” “Urban Myths,” and in ongoing shows like “Servant” and “Sick Note.” Grint is one of the main characters in “Servant” while he has the lead role in “Sick Note.”
The role Groome is most known for is that of Georgia Nicholson in “Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.” Other film appearances include those in “Papadopoulos and Sons” and “The Holding.” Groome also had roles in television shows “Up the Women,” “Lewis,” and “The Bill.”
